Day One Hundred Thirty-two

Jimmy Carter Center and Freedom Park Trail

Freedom Park Trail

We are still visiting Atlanta for our daughter’s graduation from Emory University.  We had an open block of time after the baccalaureate service and brunch, so we went on Traillink.com, found the nearby Freedom Park Trail, and went for a walk.

Although we have visited Atlanta numerous times over the years, we have never been to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum.  We still haven’t actually visited, but we have now officially parked in the former president’s parking lot and walked the lovely grounds.

We also crossed over to the nearby Freedom Park Trail. This well-used trail winds near the edge of downtown Atlanta connecting parks, neighborhoods, and historical sites.  In addition to great views of the city, we saw people of all ages walking, biking, and running.  What a great way to spend an hour!
